Prepare a measurable soft-water system and compare the offered strain with bee husbandry guidance. Ask about temperature, GH, KH, pH, source water and substrate. RO with appropriate minerals may help where tap water does not fit; follow the actual substrate and mineral instructions. TDS or a trade name alone is insufficient.

Blue coverage and head markings
Blue Bolt is used for blue and white-blue animals with varying coverage. Names such as Deep Blue or Extreme vary between sellers. In the consulted Flip Aquatics offering, Shadow Mosura has a black head and blue body. Head markings and colour impression describe an animal; they cannot establish a single shadow gene or guaranteed parent combination.
Markings and blue shade may vary among offspring from the same offered strain. Ask for group photographs and information about mature offspring. One exceptionally blue specimen does not reliably represent the entire batch. Do not change mineral dosing or pH solely to force a bluer appearance.
Blue Dream, Velvet and Jelly are blue Neocaridina trade names. Do not confuse their care with this bee profile. For Blue Bolt, establish water preparation, filtration and food access first; colour selection follows a functioning colony.
